Sprucing up the gents at iconic Glasgow bar
Alfredo’s is one of Glasgow’s most famous sports bars so we were delighted to be asked to upgrade the gents’ facilities.
Owned by Italian Alfredo Lazzurri, the bar in West Nile Street was the first in the city to have a satellite TV system to show televised sport. In 1988 Alfredo’s screened a friendly football match between Italy and Scotland on the Italian channel Rai, after the owner installed Italian television for himself and his fellow Italian customers.
Alfredo’s became a place for Scottish people to come to watch live sports, and today shows live football, golf, boxing, rugby and horse racing seven days a week.
