Work starts on iconic Glasgow bowling and tennis pavilion
HCS Mechanical Services has started work on refitting plumbing and sanitary ware at Queen’s Park Bowling and Tennis Club, one of Glasgow’s most historic sports venues.
The new facilities will be accessible to people with disabilities, and include disabled access toilets.
Founded in the year 1867, Queen’s Park is often referred to as the “Mecca of Bowling” and “it is to bowling what the nearby Hampden Park is to football”.
Photographs taken by Mark Lammey, operations manager for Scotland, show the breadth of the work being undertaken as part of a refurbishment of the grade II listed sports pavilion. We are looking forward to seeing the after shots once our engineers have installed new facilities.
